My name is Karen and I share my home with my husband, our children and of course our beautiful cats. I first came across the Somali when looking through a cat breeds   book and saw a photo of this magnificent looking cat. I was immediately struck by their grace and that look of mischief in their eye and of course that gorgeous plumb of the tail.

From there I brought my first Somali in late 1996, a female sorrel, Zadie, who was with me for 8 and a half years, sadly she passed away March 2005 and is greatly missed    (RIP sweet girl).

After a few months I dearly wanted to share my life with this gorgeous breed and I went along to a Cat Show here in Perth and met Carole Carroll of Joylincar Somalis and Abys and Maureen Campbell of The Glenmaulyn Cattery. I purchased a female tawny kitten from Carole and started showing her and I was hooked.

A few years on and I now have my first breeding queen, Joylincar Oh My Goddess (Sophie) who is a truly lovely girl with a very sweet nature.

We are now very excited about breeding this delightful cat
